After installing (and activating) Front-end editor 0.7 my blog stops working. The error in my error.log is:
[Mon Apr 06 03:09:04 2009] [error] [client 66.249.71.144] PHP Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument passed by value; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of is_array(). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. However, future versions may not support this any longer. in /var/www/vhosts/iphoneclub.nl/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/_front-end-editor/inc/scb/Options.php on line 59
I had to deactive the plugin to get the blog back online.
(I’m on PHP5, and the previous versions worked without problems as I’ve submitted a patch previously)
Hi, great plugin. The only minor problem is that you cannot test links, dropdowns, etc. when you are looged into the admin panel and are in the ‘visit site’ mode. As soon as you click anywhere in the text you go into edit mode.
It would be great to have a function like shift-click, etc. that would by-pass the edit mode and allow you to test your link or other issue requiring a mouse click.
I hope I’ve made this clear. Again, thanks for the great plugin. I use it a lot.
As for the title error, I know about it, but haven’t found a good solution for it yet. You can just disable “The title” field from the settings page and use the rest of the fields.

Fixed in 0.7.0.1
And could you please mask my path, I forgot to do so and can’t edit my own comment

Thank you: it works fine in IE8 now
As you create an option page, will you internationalize the plugin ? I will be happy to make a french translation…
Très bonne idée !
WOW excelent plug-in and excelent idea. Waiting anxiously for WYSIWYG editor…
If you internationalize it, I will be happy to translate it into Danish right away.
Version 0.7.01 seems to insert a Front-end Editor class attribute in the title-attribute. At least, it does so in the theme Gear.
Here is a screenshot before and after the activation of Front-end Editor: http://easycaptures.com/9940604309
For the time being I have disabled Front-end Editor, but I would be very happy to be able to reactivate it, as soon as you have fixed this issue
I’ll give it a shot.

Unfortunately 0.7 (0.7.0.1) stopped working for me in Safari/Mac. The Save button doesn’t want to save anymore
Fix a problem for IE, create another one for Safari.
I think I know how to fix it. Stay tuned.
Do you have a PayPal button somewhere?
I do now – just below the download button.
