The Admin dashboard in WP 2.7 has a neat Recent Comments Box, from which you can manage and reply to comments directly. The only problem is that it shows the comment excerpt instead of the entire comment text. This means that you basically have to load another page to view the entire comment.

This simple plugin fixes this issue.

    It is really unbelievable how damn much drugs those WP devs must have taken when they decided for showing only short versions of the comments _without_ a possibility to expand them via AJAX. I just couldn’t believe it when I first used 2.7 and thought I was too blind to see how it works.. but obviously it is just the way it is.
    To me, this default behaviour should be considered _broken_, thanks for your plugin.

    Hi. This is a great plugin but the last version update breaks it for me. Currently I’m using 1.02 and edit/reply/approve ets links got broken, instead I only get a part of css. Here’s how it looks:

    The previous version worked just fine. Do I need to downgrade or is the fix coming? (I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the plugin, of course)

      Are you using any other plugins that might affect comment excerpts?

    I am also using WP Ajax Edit Comments (which i’ve also used before and it was working just fine; only the last version of full comments on dashboard broke things). Thanks for your concern. I’ve disabled WP Ajax Edit Comments temporarily and dashboard issue was fixed. But I would like both of them to work at the same time :)
