Since the launch of this plugin, several people have reported that autogrow wasn’t working properly in IE. After trying to fix the JS, I’ve came across a better jQuery plugin: Growfield.
I’ve also included the init script in wp-footer to avoid an extra HTTP request.
What does this mean for you? No more errors in IE and a slightly faster page load.

Cool addon, but I have an issue with smileys! Is it possible that this addon wont work with “Custom Smileys”?

This plugin doesn’t intefere with the content of the comment, so your problem is most likely caused by something else. Try deactivating this plugin and see if the problem persits.

what custom smileys does is put the code for the smiley by clicking it into the comment form.
I guess comment autogrow is replacing the original form with the new autogrow form. Therefore this doesnt work anymore.
Is the new form still a regular form, but with a different id (original id is “comment”) or is it something completely different which would render custom smileys useless??
Could you post a link to the actual plugin you’re using?
And also, what function, if any, you are using to display the smiley bar?
I found the updated version of Custom Smilies (v 2.8). I assume that’s what you’re using.

the plugin is doing all of it – creating the smiley bar and so on! It is rather handy
this just such a nice plugin,these lil things do count in the long run,thnx a lot…….
